Millésime Bio is an international organic fair. Here it is customary to set up the stands all in the same way, there are no distinctions, all the producers present themselves and are presented in the same way.
The producers come from all over Europe, the stands assigned at random, without taking into account each person’s nationality. Water in Bag in Box, no plastic, large bottle on the floor to collect the wine used in the tastings, ice and glasses service, flower vases to make the fair more welcoming. The impression is of great cleanliness and simplicity.
To participate, you must enter your commercial data on an online platform. Website, social networks and online catalogues, give industry professionals the opportunity to know in advance the companies with which they can establish a collaboration. The fair is extremely professional, visitors only stop by by appointment, which must be agreed in advance through the platform. If you don’t get confirmed appointment emails with visitors, you simply have nothing to do.
We at Podere Sabbioni were at our first experience in France, no qualified distributor in our portfolio, a lot of work and emails sent well in advance to introduce ourselves and ask to be visited at the fair by wine professionals from all over Europe.
The feeling at the fair was particular, those who had chosen us had a very clear idea of what type of company we were and how we could be interesting for their business, we had already “studied” us, the event only served to establish personal contact and taste the wines .
Next to us are life stories that are often beautiful to listen to, families of small producers whose passion had led them to leave their places of origin to move to the renowned places of wine production.
